Digital TV reports
The following is a list of resources available for reference. The aim of the reports is to track and detail the continuing switch to digital TV.
Digital Tracker
The Digital Tracker survey measures the national uptake of digital television and Australians' awareness and attitudes towards the switchover to digital TV. The reports of each survey are released quarterly.
Reports on digital television transmission and reception
The reports give information on the progress by commercial and national broadcasters in meeting their obligations to achieve the equivalent coverage and reception quality in digital as in analog. These reports also identify likely transmission blackspots.

McNair reports – customer satisfaction with ‘talking’ set-top boxes
The Australian Government will provide ‘talking’ set-top boxes to eligible Household Assistance Scheme (HAS) participants. Talking set-top boxes are designed to assist blind or vision impaired people to navigate electronic program guides, onscreen menus, and the settings of their television.
In 2011 the department engaged Australian Digital Testing (ADT) to conduct technical testing of the trial ‘talking’ set-top boxes, as well as to gather customer feedback on their user-friendliness.
